The Unofficial Song of the Day Thread

Reading and listening (when vids haven't been deleted) across this thread you guys have created a very nice collection of music.

The following probably isn't appropriate in the sobriety of morning, but I find the audio combined with the video simply mesmerizing - under the right conditions:

Full screen.
Let the loop run.
Follow the detail. (Wish it were in HD, but sadly it is not.)

The new Mystery Jets track is a perfect accompaniment to a wonderfully sunny day here in Sheffield…

Best Rap ever....

Been on a bit of a New Order kick. Which sort of surprises me, because I grew up as a Joy Division fan, so New Order was hard for me to take for a while. I mean, to go from "Twenty Four Hours" to "Temptation"? But I love it all now. Growing up is nice. Anyway....

Love the choral backup vocals or whatever they are. But I'm a sucker for choral backup vocals.

Time for another change of pace:

Cephalic Carnage, "Ontogeny of Behavior" Very long track, anyone who listens to the whole thing is Metal as F$%^ - even if it's just honorary status. :D

Love these guys, super cool and wicked smart. They do a lot of tongue in cheek stuff too, tracks like "Black Metal Sabbath," "Dying will be the Death of Me," and "Piecemaker" are all semi-spoofs of various metal sub-genres. Well, less so in the case of Piecemaker, but still. They're amazing on stage as well. I try to catch them whenever they come to the Bay.

Music by Current 93, words by horror author Thomas Ligotti. Quite definitely not to everyone's taste, but I'm a big fan of both. Very creepy piece.

Not as into TMBG as I was in high school, but every once in a while, you need to pull the old tapes out.

Finally stumbled across these guys again, after the Live365 channel they were on closed down a few years back.
