favorite What's your favorite scene???

Yes! I love that shot! I love that whole movie! It's such a good adaption of the book, while standing on its own as a film at the same time, which is rare.

CF, I've never actually seen any of the Aliens movies. I don't like aliens or paranormal stuff, I wouldn't be able to sleep with the lights off. You've almost got me with T2 though, but I'm still gonna stick with True Lies. Deal with it :p

Also, I want everyone to take a second and appreciate that I am intentionally NOT weighing into this discussion about the monkey clip. Know and appreciate!

If my internet wasn't capped I could find a scene to post, but right now trying to watch youtube is like trying to squeeze that last little blob of toothpaste out of the tube. So I guess I'll just have to tell you the scene I was looking for.... You know that part in Tropic Thunder when Tom Cruise is funny? That part.

Lol. That part is funny. Though, I prefer the parts when Jack Black is funny, and when Robert Downey is funny.

Seriously, though, what's up with you and computers?

Lol, I like when Jack Black says "I did a low budget tittie comedy for Skinimax, Sex Camp, 'member it?" and the rest of them are like *head shake*. I think Tropic Thunder must be one of my most quoted movies :D

Oh, and this isn't my computer, this is my internet. My computer's actually been working fine since I removed the virus protection the IT guy put on it. But I did a lot of downloading this month and ran out of bandwidth lol. I'm very naughty, I know

Gah, now you know how we Brits feel half the time!

Tom Cruise is hilarious in Tropic Thunder, I must agree. I have really fond memories of it, but every time I watch it I feel a little bit disappointed - as a similar film, I think Hot Fuzz gets the pacing and type of jokes much more spot on.

Sorry to post another epic steadicam shot, but I stumbled upon it yesterday and it is f'ing EXQUISITE.

What really makes a five star film for me, and what I think makes a scene one of the best ever, Is when your soul is touched and you get goosebumps. That's a feeling few films give me, but it's as rewarding as anything else in life when it occurs....

Final scene of Gladiator - the last fight.

All sound fades out except the gritty footsteps and the breath of both opponents.

Then the final scene with the gates in the wheat field.

Amazing.

Great Post Truestar, mention of Goddard reminds me of this:

Also, the scene in Contempt where someone compliments Fritz Lang on "Metropolis" and he confesses to always having preferred "M" is somehow epic to me.

I only read up to page three, so apologies if this has been posted before.

People on here sure like their Goddard, don't they? I'm sure I'll be sent to the firing squad for this, but I don't actually know who he is. I've never heard of him. Awkward.

Anyway, I was going to post a scene from Lonely Hearts, but youtube is not loading the videos so I can't tell if it's the scene I want or not. Which kind of makes this post irrelevant. Gargh! Has anyone else seen that movie? You know the bit at the end when Martha (Salma Hayek) is talking to the two detectives (John Travolta & James Gandolfini)? That's the scene I was looking for. Stupid internet.

insert_firingsquad_here

Lol, yeah good one. :p I totally misread that and thought is said 'fringesquad'. I was like, what is my hair too long or something? Lol. Truestar sent me a message telling me all about Goddard & recommending films of his I should see, so everyone can just hold their bullets. :p
Anyway, I'm gonna stay off this thread until my internet is back at full capacity, since it's kinda hard to talk about my favourite scenes when I can't post them :/ Sorry for taking things off track for a minute there everyone.

<3

I may sound like a party-pooper, but I've already listed all of mine. If anymore were so great, they'd be taking away from my choices of what makes them so special as the greatest scenes I've ever enjoyed.

I do like some of the choices other members here have suggested.
