Should movie makers follow the trail of people with no regrets, or make their own way?

Short answer, if you're following someone with no regrets, you're also following someone with no experience. You can pave your own way, which artistically is superior, but then no one will recognize the path you're on, or be able to gauge how far along you are on it. Scientists have studied the phenomenon, and basically, to be a great artist that people actually appreciate, the optimal path is about 70/30 or 85/15 non original/original mix.

Should movie makers follow the trail of people with no regrets...........or make their own way?

First question.
What people are you talking about?

Second question
And can you define what it means to make their own way.

You have information in your head and don't understand that we don't know what you are tinking about. Are you on the spectrum of autism?

What successful movie have you made?

That's not the real Ben Affleck. No soda, no cigarette, no beige sweater, no leaning. The signs are everywhere. Clearly a stunt double of some sort, fielding the publicity tour for the real Affleck while he leans on things and drinks sodas at home. The look on his face is another dead giveaway. He's obviously lost in thought trying to figure out why NFT's are valuable to people. The real Affleck doesn't get lost in thought. He punches thoughts in the face and puts his cigarette out on them, even when there are clearly marked signs telling him not to.

That's why he is the greatest actor to ever live. It really was him the whole time.
