I saw a UFO. It was a black triangle, spinning and rotating like the flat phantom zone prison in superman. Zod is here.

No worries, just set some speakers outside and play any Phish live show cd on auto repeat, they'll eventually wander off and form an agrarian society with a frisbee based economy.

sfoster, I had a similar experience except it wasn't a black triangle. it was round. The color appeared to be blue as streaked through the sky. I only saw it for a split second before I lost consciousness.

I regained consciousness a few minutes later and I realized it wasn't a UFO.
My wife caught me looking at her sister at the family barbecue and thru a plate at me.
We watched episode 7 of The Offer last night, "The Producer." I LOVED the fight between the DP character (Gordon Willis) and director Francis Ford Coppola. The director was screaming that the DP was ruining everything by not leaving enough room for the actors to move around. The DP screamed that he could just put up a single floodlight, if that would make him happy. :)
Everything Everywhere All At Once deserves a Oscar for best editing.....
Paul Rogers did an inspiring good job.

We are filmmakers. So we watch it and we know the budget is 2.5 mill.... We also judge it by that. Its incredibly inspiring for indie filmmaker's.

Yep the editing was amazing, never lets your eyes focus elsewhere. I gotta say though i did not enjoy the film as a whole, to me this kind of story seems to be a little repetitive now- political and preachy.
I am not against politics in films- no matter what side you fall in but in the end your politics should be convincing.
We watched "Barry" season 3, episode 3 ("All the Sauce") last night and the scene with the detonator & tech support was one of my favorite things in a long time. Absolutely hysterical and totally relatable.

That was some great writing! "It sounds like we got it fixed, is there anything else we can help you with?" I also liked - "who do you think should be the next spiderman?" response "I don't know, Ben Mendelsohn"

Yup! Absolutely.
I like Robert Eggers.... did not like the North man after the 30 minute mark. Trailer was better then the movie.

i thought it was his more tame, by the book film out of the others. I didn't really like it the first watch, loved it the second.

I should give it another watch in a few years. Perhaps I was way to excited for this one....
Happiness is finding out that one of your actors got nominated for a TONY award this week! One of the great things about making indie movies in the NYC area is the access to wonderful theater actors, Deirdre O'Connell was in our DETOURS cast & was nominated for Best Actress for her one woman show Dana H. She also was truly a pleasure to work with.Didi 1.png:)
Trying to find out a viable distribution model.

I'll tell you what I've been saying to producers for about the last year or 2: I've been working with FilmHub and am happy with their service. They've gotten my 2 features on quite a few streaming services, they don't charge an upfront fee but do take 20% of revenue, they pay promptly, and they're responsive to questions. :)

Sounds good.
Right now we work with distributing companies, but the deals are sometimes harsh.
Luckily theres international sales also.
Filmhub sounds like a great alternative.
Hi Nate,

Hope you are well. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but was it you who offered to give me advice a while ago on a thread I posted - haven’t been able to find - about selling a screenplay?

If so, I have a question, if you wouldn’t mind.

Best,

Lauran.

I'm not sure, I answer a lot of questions for people. Without knowing the name of the thread I couldn't say if it was me or not. What is your question though? I'll help if I can.

Hi,

If you are still keen on collaborating, I write screenplays.

LOGLINE:
A derogatory joke made by a black teen at Starbucks results in an
uncomfortable exchange between two fairer-skinned blacks.

If you want to collaborate on something else, I have a few more ideas.

Let me know :)

Cheers,
Constantin

I posted this script on a different thread offering it up as a short and budget-friendly indie film but didn't get any response. It's good enough for YouTube at least. You are free to use it as the customer I pitched it to on fiverr didn't care for it much. He wanted a script involving an exchange between two fair-skinned blacks.

In addition, I'm beginning to suspect that you personally are responsible for the global uptick in Dan Levy gifs.
