I'm fascinated by what folks (Nate ) here think of as "obscure" and think
"most people" don't know about.

Dances With Wolves?

I guess older movies like the Wilder films mentioned are movies most
people today don't know about. Fair in general but sad for a film forum
populated by people who love movies.

Want an obscure Wilder film most people don't know about? How many
of you here know "One, Two, Three"?

I'm sad that people don't know famous, successful awarding winning
older films. Not that people find that area within obscure and favorite.
That I find fascinating.

The idea that most people don't know about "Dances With Wolves" is
fascinating to me. The thought that most people don't know about "The
Apartment" is sad to me because it's likely true.

For some reason I don't find that sad. Some kids have never heard of Nirvana. I don't know, it's not sad to me, it's simply generational. We can teach them and lists help. Nirvana is not even close to obscure, but there's a bunch of kids who have never heard of them, imagine all the "famous" and obscure bands they have never heard of, and you will really be sad!
