Lol, right. I'm always working. There's a distinct shortage of hours per day.

Today I was working on the top secret SP guitar technique, a terrifying bastardization of the conventional approach to the fretboard.

Now that I'm done with that, I'm adjusting the flight path of bats through a cave somewhere inside the maze.
 
i filmed that spy vs spy script on june 29th (last wednesday)
my 7w LED lights are definitely a limiting factor lol, wish i had something brighter after all these years but it is what it is.

turned out okay. made do with what I have as always.
priority is more about trying to write a book these days. but def hit some writers block there too.

At the time of the post above, I was working on something - landscape gardening! Which, as it happens, does have a tenuous link to film-making, as much of what I'm doing at the moment takes into account potential camera angles and how/where green screens might be set up, with an eye to future developments.

But I'm very much in a do-it-don't-talk-about-it phase at the moment (after a long, long hiatus) so ... 🤷‍♂️

Well, it’s a holiday weekend, so…

But seriously, current show is dark for three days, but I don’t go back until Thursday. Location scout on Tuesday for the next series that starts in August. I’ve been pretty consistently booked since March with very little down time.

Between all of that, the challenge is trying to find the time to shoot and edit documentary vignettes for a local indie rock station that just turned 40, and launch a full-length documentary project.

I'm currently doing weekly videos for a financial advisor and helping him grow his YouTube channel. I've also just partnered with some consultants that has lead to me producing a training series for the nationwide Head Start program.

Creatively, I'm using a short film I shot a year ago as a testing ground for workflows and finishing the script for my next feature.

I'm a bit curious and confused. What is non linear tv? I thought that I was one of maybe 6 people in the world making any of it, so I'm thinking that you are talking about something else. Isn't all mainstream tv linear? What am I missing here?

As @indietalk said, non-linear is streaming/on-demand. Linear TV is the term for traditional broadcast/cablecast. So I've been on a string of Food Network shows, and I'm starting on a series for Discovery in August. That's linear, as these shows all go straight to the cable networks (though they hit streaming after that).
 
Today (and yesterday) I've been working on optimizing the workflow for recording and smoothing camera movement tracks within scenes, and I've gotten a pretty incredible result. By changing around a few things I've managed to collapse a 3 hour job into about 10 minutes, and that's recurring daily. There are a lot of shots that require too much detail to speed through like this, but in general, I should be able to increase output by about 30% without loosing much quality.
