Could I write a screenplay short off of it?
I've been turned in about eight or nine ten sentence stories that
- begin with a situation,
- introduce a conflict,
- suggest a few problems to solve before
- things go bad,
- it gets better,
- it gets worse,
- solve the big problem, then
- define the outcome.
Phase 2 screenwriters are free to change names, tweak problems and solutions, completely fabricate all dialog based upon the tone (humor, dark humor, drama, horror, farce) they want to approach this with.
I wouldn't care for something as conceptually nebulous as "Humor - Dude eats chili, wakes up with squirts, can't answer the phone".
I'd appreciate a little more pre-development than that.
