Super Summer Contest!

Thanks, sir!

I've had a few submissions for the short stories/concepts but I'd like a lot more. If people don't have the time to write something new for the August 1st deadline then I'm sure you all have treatments or short stories that you've written and forgotten knocking about! Send 'em in! You never know, they might get turned into a beautiful short film.

I've pretty much decided that I'm going to try and participate in Stage Three as well. I was only planning on doing Stages One and Two but, after careful consideration, I think I'll try for Stage Three as well.

Anyhow, get excited people and get writing! 10 words, 100 words, 1000 words, 10000 words (ok, that's pushing it) just send in what you got. For submission address see that above quote :)

I shall take part in stages 1 and 2!

I just found out about the competition. Great idea, Nick!

The deadline is a bit ambiguous. Is it by the end of August 1st or the end of July 31st. Is it Greenwich time too. :)
I have a couple days left to think of a story.

Little ambiguous. Let's say the deadline is 23:59 on August 1st, that should give people the maximum amount of time!

Good to have you on board Kinglis! :)

Nick,

Sorry man. Haven't finished up my current project so no extra time yet to work on it. I'll make it if I make it. No promises.

:(

Sowy.

@Doc ROC: That's ok, I understand! That said- it should be noted that some of the submissions have come in the form of 100 word concepts rather than stories themselves. That's fine and it should make it easier for people who don't have that much time to get something submitted!

A day or two to go folks! :)

Email them to nick[@]theclapperbored.com

Wow in that case I might just bang something out tonight before I go to sleep. I thought it was more elaborate than that. Mah bahd!

Obviously, the longer the better. But it's also important that we get a variety of submissions for Stage Two and Three so as long as the concept is in place it's smooth sailing... :)

Hmm... Mine were pretty darn short. Premises, really.

My approach was the less restricting the concepts were the more lattitude the screenplays spawned from them could be carried across.

Sorry.

That's not a problem at all. Feel free to expand on any of them if you want, but otherwise you can leave 'em be.

I'm thinking that I'll submit one proper short story and one concept pitch. The concept pitch should be familiar to people as it's my 'dream' movie

Anyhow I'm working on some prizes right now so remember to submit to Stage One if you want to stand a chance of winning the prize from there!

It is the 31st of July today! That means you've got approximately 24 hours to send me something! Send everything to nick[@]theclapperbored.com

@Indietalk-At-Large

The deadline is today and there are people who have said, on this thread, that they're going to participate in Stage One who have yet to send me anything! Please do this as soon as you have time. The deadline is midnight in LA (to maximise the amount of time available) so try and get something in before the clock strikes 12 over in California.

The first prize in what will hopefully be a long line of prizes is here!

The winner of each stage will be able to chose three of these books (I only have one pile so there's a slight advantage to the first two stages) of their choosing!

I've just sent you an email, Nick ;)

Edit: Nice prize! Even though, just to have a feedback on my concept is a big enough prize for me.
