Setting: 1990s Louisiana backwoods.

I'll start!

The sun casts a golden light over the bayou. A...

 

[Nate North]

The sun casts a golden light over the bayou.

A plane flies over, one engine flaming, jettisoning cargo, loosing altitude.

The sun casts a golden light over the bayou.
A plane flies over, one engine flaming, jettisoning cargo, loosing altitude.

An enormous wooden crate marked FRAGILE slams into the water.

 

[Spike]

Swamp creatures--gators, turtles, snakes--approach and then, repelled, scatter.

BOOM! Fiery splinters litter the surface of the bayou. Smoke...

 

[Nate North]

momentarily obscured the lake, then cleared, revealing

 

[mlesemann]

a woman's body - beautifully dressed, perfectly coiffed, and clearly dead.

 

[Spike]

, her grey cast antithetical to life. Yet, suddenly, her eyes

open wide, just to close again as her body sinks

and is replaced by oozing sludge shaped like her body

 

[sfoster]

three black teens sitting by the bayou watch in disbelief

 

[indietalk]

and awe. Jeremy (13), open-mouthed, flicks his Marlboro into the sludge

which immediately bursts into flames that soar 10 feet high

 

[indietalk]

sending Randall (19) running! Garet (15), aka Gator, walks toward the blaze

 

[Spike]

out of which emerges, black slime dripping off her scantily

 

[indietalk]

clad physique... a creature! Gator walks closer to touch the

 

[mlesemann]

creature - but it leaps toward him and he jumps back!

 

[Spike]

Swamp creatures--gators, turtles, snakes--creep, crawl, and slither forward,

 

[mlesemann]

led from water onto land by the scantily clad dead woman.

Gator can't help but notice her gator-like appearance, Jeremy yells...
