A smidgen of commodities trading in A GOOD YEAR.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Good_Year

Some token business works in THE SECRET OF MY SUCCESS.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_of_My_Success_(1987_film)

Some entrepreneur aspects to BOTTLE SHOCK
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bottle_Shock

And I suppose also to SCHINDLER'S LIST, as well.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schindler's_list

Some broadcast business:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk_to_Me_(2007_film)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_night_and_good_luck
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tootsie

How about arms dealers as business people?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_of_War
Or drugs?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blow_(film)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_(2000_film)

How about Howard Hughes?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Aviator_(2004_film)

The premise of CASINO ROYALE was that Le Chiffre lost over a $100M on SkyFleet puts, thus forcing him into the Montenegro poker game.

If you don't know what a put is: http://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/put.asp
It's an option contract to sell at (strike) price even if the (underlying) stock drops.
Say I thought Southwest Airlines failed to renegotiate some long term fuel contracts which expire in a month (for no particular reason) and their price of fuel was gonna go through the roof and crash their stock to $8.
Buy some out of the money puts as an insurance hedge against this possible (but not likely) risk, and if it happens - money, honey.
If not - complete loss. But that's what insurance is all about and how Le Chiffre lost his client's cash.

Do these count?

The list looks great except for arm dealers. Will see the details on wiki but i hope i will find it great. Very much interested to see the commodities and stock and option related movies. All over really agreat list for me to see all these movies mentioned by you. Inception looks a science fiction movie rather then a business related movie. :)

Thanks to all of you for providing such a great list. Have saved the names and will get the movies in 1 or 2 or 3 at a time :) Please if you come to know of any more names do let me know. I am very much willing to see these movies and it become more great they are base don true events or on true personalities. Recently saw "inside job" which wasnt a movie but was great to see

The Smartest Guys In The Room about Enron.

Startup.com about two friends who started an online company during the dot-com boom and ended up no longer being friends.

Barbarians At The Gates about the fight to take over Nabisco. I didn't see this one, I don't have HBO. (shrug)
But I remember it getting a lot of Emmys.

Pirates Of Silicon Valley about the rise of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Really good film.

The Corporation about how big companies like IBM function. This is where I found out that IBM gave their "counting" machines to the Nazis so that they could keep track of "whatever it was they were counting".

I think you will like these. You may be appalled, but you won't be disappointed.

Really? What did you not like about it? I thought it was an excellent film.

Honestly speaking i dont know why i didnt liked social network. May be because originally i used to think its an original idea but in movie i found the basic idea was stolen. And may be be few other elements which i cannot point out. :) Some times even a good thing is not liked by every one :)

A friend of mine was in an originals band quite a few years ago. The name of one of their songs would make a great title for a comedy film based around the financial industry - "Stocks and Blonds".

You gotta check out "Pirates of Silicon Valley", it is about the start of Microsoft and Apple. Great stuff!

Good call, nothing affected wall street more than what happened in that story.

I have to take issue that "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps" is listed as a film about Wall Street.

It's actually an educational film about how one bad casting choice can ruin a movie that could have otherwise gotten a solid one star rating (female lead)

It also says, if you read between the lines, that if you keep doing hard drugs for 30 years while you're directing, your plots become self important and aimless.

This is the parable of Oliver Stone
