Off to see Antihero on the BIG SCREEN

Hi all, my wife and I are about to head out and catch ITs own Cracker Funk's film "Anitihero" at the Columbia Gorge Film Festival.

The Kiggins Theater
1011 main st vancover wa
9:00PM.

Hopefully connecting with CF for some human to human interaction.. scary as that sounds, Im sorta looking forward to it, though I do plan to wear a hazmat suit if I can find it in time. If not, bathing in Purel is my next option!

Sounds like a fun time! Hope it shows down here soon.

Yay for big screen presentations!

Edit: Neener-neener! Just saw it listed for a great local one. Don't think Joesph has announced it yet... so shhhhhh.

It meant the world to me to have you there, wheat, and the same is true of 2001's attendance.

There were 20-30 people in the audience, a stark contrast to the 300 that attended the show just prior to mine (a local production, with a red carpet entrance). What bugged me most was the reality of how horrendous my audio is. God, I can't wait until I can hire someone who knows what the F they're doing.

Anyway, the point I'm getting at is that this experience could've been a real heart-breaker. But it wasn't. The simple fact that I had some family there to support me, as well as a couple IT regulars, made it a terrific night for me.

The difference is that my family is SUPPOSED to support me. Whereas neither 2001 nor wheatgrinder were under any social obligation or expectation at all, so that made their attendance that much more meaningful to me.

Mick and Dan (and Kim) - thank you SO MUCH! I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope we meet again (in fact, I plan on it).

There was some pretty fun stuff in Antihero. As you allude, CF, I had to struggle to understand some of the dialogue, but the film was edited well and therefore easy to follow.

Didn't realize Wheat was there! Would've loved to say howdy.

BTW, another Indietalker - Chris Wilson - is screening tomorrow. Planning to go after Kholi's presentation.

That's pretty common with indie movies. At IndieMeet, I usually sit by the mixer and "ride" the output, so that the audience rarely notices, for example, if a loud scene is followed by a really quiet scene.

I thankyou again for giving us a chance to show it. I was also trying to get 2001's THE CRIMPS, to go along with it! Congrats on this and upcoming festivals!

Hey, i was there, here is proof

Great pics Wheat!

What a lovely, old camera you've got :)

I actually suspect that you're another sucka for Hispstamatic on iPhone...

Haha! I didn't realize you were pointing at me, a la Steven Colbert!

In the family pic, it doesn't look like Parker (the 9-year-old) is having a fun time. I warned her mother, over and over, that this movie wasn't exactly made for kids, but she was cool with the content I detailed. Anyway, after watching the movie, Parker said her favorite parts were the butts and the dog-poop. Sounds about right! :D
