Name That Screengrab

Pi ....Incidently, that movie is not about Pi but is about Phi. But normaly people have no idea what you're refering to when you mention the number Phi.

Correct.

And we should head to another forum, i would love nothing better than to discuss and appreciate the golden ratio.

I think it could be important to movie making as well. I've often wondered if the ratio could be applied to the lengths of scenes, interplays on sound, time from one plot point to the next. Could there be an application in color where certain shades are porportionally different to others to create a pleasing/unpleasant effect. This is all beside the obvious application of composing scenes. It is an interesting subject.:)

Dammit Clap, you beat me to it. I had both "Pan's Labrynth" and "The Prestige", and I barely get any of these. At least I can jump on VP's third one, though. I believe that is from "A.I.". Actually, I'm not 100% sure of that, but I know I've seen it. I've got a couple other guesses, if "A.I." is wrong.

Wait a minute. Is that "Gamer"?!

No to both. But it was made in the last decade to give the younglings a chance.

Going to need some kind of direction on that one, CF. I've seen plenty of movies with furniture blocking doors. Of course, not many with antique furniture in an older home on linoleum. Is it a remake? Could that be the cheesy color remake of Knight of the Living Dead?

Or perhaps The Amityville Horror?

I really feel like I know the tomato one and it's bugging me. The fact that I was right about the country only confirms my suspicions of subconscious genius... I'm convinced that that picture is taken in the Italian lakes north of Milan, Lake Como and the like. The only movie I can think of set there is A Month by the Lake, but I'm sure that's not old enough.

I'm missing something here...
