Hello to everyone of indietalk!
As the title would imply, indietalk is the first forum that's managed to convert me from a lurker to an active member. Rather counter-intuitively I'm finding that posting on an online forum is more nerve-wracking than speaking up in any class has been. Hopefully that'll pass sooner rather than later.
So a bit about myself -- a film director in the infancy of his career with one short film (worth mentioning) under his belt. I've been plunging myself into the industry to the best of my abilities over the past 5 years working as a PA, grip, and editor. Currently residing in NYC.
One thing I've come to realize in that time is that I simply lack friends in my field who can relate to my frustrations or offer meaningful advice on how to actualize my career aspirations.
So, in short, be my friend indietalk! haha
I look forward to getting to know everyone here better!
