i won a short film competition last night!

Hey guys!

Just had to share the news! :)

Last night was the screening/judging night of the OzAsia 'Wasabi' Short Film Competition, and our film took out the top honour as well as the people's choice award!

The competition wasn't huge by any stretch, just a local one held here in Adelaide Australia. With a bunch of other amateur filmmakers like ourselves. But all the same, great night, great feeling.

I've posted the youtube link in the 'Screening room' forum if your interested.

But, as a newbie myself, i thought it was appropriate to post here and let all of you know that i learned; with some drive and patience, filmmaking is actually an achievable thing to a young dreamer like myself! Now whether thats professional or not is besides the point. The point is, i made a film. from conception, to seeing it on a big screen shown in front of over 100 people. And its was a turning point, it validated filmmaking to me. Something i didn't really know needed to be validated until then.

Cheers,
Ash

Now onto the next project! :)
