I'm Chrissy, I'm from Australia, Melbourne.
I am just coming to a near end of studying film full time for the first year.
I studied filmmaking through most of high school and decided I wanted to lead a future in making films after an interest in watching films and developing a hobbie in writing scripts. I am interested in becoming a writer/ director.
Joining a forum like this seems like a great way to get more involved with a community of filmmakers who have the same passion as myself. I'm excited about reading other people thoughts and opinions.

Hello hello! This forum is quite a haven for information. Every time an answer is needed, this is usually the first place to look!
 
Well, to break in as a writer/director it's nearly impossible. Everyone on this board and hundreds of others is also thinking the same thing, churning out mounds of (mediocre) "content" and hoping to make a deal.

You need an oddball, quirky hook that gets you noticed. Find the weirdest most fucked up person you can, and use their insanity to base something strange on. Then you may have a shot.
