Greetings, Fellow Film Enthusiasts!

Hey there! I'm Ric, studying Film, Radio and Television at university and thought that signing up to a place like this would be good for communication and development. It looks really cool and i'll be sure to check it out and get to know the place.

I'm really keen on the cinematography, directing and editing elements of cinema, but i'm interested in all areas and like to try everything. I've directed a few films in my course and outside of it and am just getting to grips with some professional equipment, like HD cameras, microphones and Bolex 16mm film.

So yeah, I thought i'd just introduce myself and i'm looking forward to looking around these boards and seeing what you guys think of my projects.

Thanks!

Welcome Grasshopper!

I'm one of the audio guys here.

Keep in mind that the search function is your friend. Everyone here is always very glad to help you out, but a lot of the "basics" questions have been asked and answered many times.

And always remember:

"Sound is half of the experience"

"Old man, how is it that you hear these things?"

"Young man, how is it that you do not?"

Thanks a lot Alcove Audio, and the advice is useful. I've used boards like this before so I will find my way around! And yes, sound is very useful when you want it to be an effective driving force of any media!
