I love the place where digital and acoustic blend into a whole new thing.

Vaguely along those lines, you may want to check out "Johnny Montana," about an aimless kid who becomes a "call boy."

It was the first feature on which I did audio post; my work is only fair, but the film did well on the Festival Circuit, winning Moondance Best Feature and another win in Australia.
A bit of both. She's using a rhythm loop to duplicate and repeat the introduction she first played on the upright piano. The box is on top of the upright piano (Axai brand, overlabeled with the word Asfalt - not sure who/what that is! [Edit - Asfalt records, her label. Makes sense now!Is she doing the accompaniment by herself or is it a computer?
Thank you so much for explaining! I tried to follow what she is doing, but my lack of knowledge made me doubt how I should value her work. Thanks!A bit of both. You can see at about 6m20s that she clears the previous rhythm and sets it up to record the synthesiser before she plays the melody on the upright. What's impressive in that piece is that she timed her transition to the upright piano perfectly to include the pause that she left when she started the loop. At about 12min she's layering a new melody on top of three looped rhythms.
Having seen various solo artists perform live using similar technology, I would say she's one of the better practitioners of the art! Obviously with all things technological, there are versions of the device that allow you to apply more or less creative processes to the recorded segment, but in the end, even the most sophisticated can only replay what you've already given it, so the application is somewhat limited to music that relies more on repetitive themes rather than complex orchestration.how I should value her work

Sort of reminded me of prepared piano pieces by John Cage. He was commissioned to do music (I believe it was for Twyla Tharp) for a dance called Bacchanale. He describes it all at 14:55Going off on a tangent: I was much more impressed with how she manipulated the inner workings of the upright piano, coupled with the use of the pedals, to create some very un-piano-like sounds in the intro to the first piece! I'm wondering if it's a central/eastern European thing - I've often seen Swiss and Austrian players of the hammered dulcimer do something similar.
Thanks guys! Sometimes it is good not to understand and just to enjoy. But in this case I was, as I said, not sure about how appreciate itSort of reminded me of prepared piano pieces by John Cage. Here's a short example of a prepared piano piece.
Here's a "How To" prepare a piano.
In "Take A Pebble" by ELP (Emerson, Lake and Palmer) Keith Emerson held down chords without making the strings sound, then strummed the strings with a guitar pick.

Hi John! Not sure if Indietalk allows this kind of content, but I am open to share my view. Mind that I will judge the content from an dramaturgist / philosophical point of view, and am not interested in discussing / seeing / or even imaginingIts John. Thanks Celtic. As you mentioned this is just a limited information and this is a synopsis. Thank you also for your advices. Definetly will look at it.From the limited description you've given us, it seems to me that "nymphomania" is not the translation you should be using in this story. Nothing you've written describes any hint of nymphomania - only the normal desires of a normal young woman growing up in a sexually repressed family, and in a typically "macho" social environment.
It might be worth watching the piano "sex" scene in Un Peu, Beaucoup, Aveuglement to see how this link between musical performance and sensuality/sexual repression/unemotional harassment has already been shown on screen.
