Are there too many forums here?

I'm new here but it seems like there are a few too many forums. There's a Lobby, a Lounge, Newbies, a Premiere Lounge, Indietalk, Filmmaking Misc, etc, sheez where can I go just to hear myself talk?

On a nicer note, I LOVE that this place has a film Music forum.

I'd like to suggest a VFX forum.

You just need to learn how to navigate the forums. Press the new posts button and see what everyone is talking about. If you wanna start a new thread place it in the appropriate catagotey.

What he said!

But does anyone else feel they are missing out on the good stuff by only checking 'new posts' and not the individual sub-forums?

FOR ME (whatever) it depends upon how motivated I am to go investigating something.
There's the standard "home" page: http://www.indietalk.com/
I scan "Title, Username, & Date" column for replies to statements & questions or to follow good subjects or interesting arguments (sad, but entertaining).

I seem to be spending a great deal of interest in "Camera and Lenses" forum so I scan that column as well.
Occasionally I'll even click on that forum and just see whassup there that I mighta missed: http://www.indietalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=62

But then I notice at the top of the page that "C&L" is a sub-forum of "Tools of the Trade", so... lettuce go see what's there: http://www.indietalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=240

"Heyyyyy!" Isn't this where I suggested 'Recorders and Mics' oughtta be?!"
Yup.

So, lettuce see what mish-mash has been swept into the "Equipment and Gear" catch-all bin:

Sometimes I even use the "Search" feature!

I can do this kind of search all day.
No. Really. I can.

I don't have a problem with the amount of forms, because there are so many branches and attributes of Film Making, I think it keeps things tidier myself. :)
