Accountability

Hi all,
I need some accountability.
I have two projects in post and I'v not worked on either much for a couple months!

I have lots of great excuses, I moved, I was out of the country, my old house has still not sold, I had to rebuild my editing computer, which are all true, but really, Iv spent way to much time the last few weeks just playing video games!

Please feel free to bug me about getting "The Hot Rod" and "The Long Road Out Of Town" done!

Thanks.

I have two "issues" (new school. In the olden days we just called them problems. Whatever.)

First - I have mid-cycle AADD. For a few days, maybe a week, at a time I can stay on task and achieve all sorts of amazing shhhstuff.
And then it evaporates for another few days or weeks which is when I get all my non-creative mundane cr@p taken care of knowing that sporadic comet will cycle back... whenever.

Second - Because I (my brain) runs at high octane during those creative burst periods I know I can't have any distractions, so that's double motivation to get my other business in order - because when that comet comes I don't wanna be sidetracked with annoying shhhstuff. So, what looks like d!cking around is really for a good reason. At least, that's what I tell myself.

Now, if any of this seems remotely familiar then go ahead and get your d!ckin' around taken care of.
But I think I know just what you're thinking: You're looking at those two projects almost with aggressive contempt, like a broken down motorcycle that you enjoyed the sh!t out of, and all you gotta do is replace the busted fuel pump and filter - simple enough - but for no good reason... f#ckit. You just don't feeeeeel like fixing it.
So you just look at it (the bike) like a mean old girlfriend ("B!tch.")

And then you'll wake up one day for no particular reason, drive to the parts store, buy the new fuel pump and filter, go home, flip on the garage lights, pop open a can of "BUSY BEE" and just fix the d@mn thing.
You'll be catching bugs in your grill before the kids get home from school.

No d@mn reason.

You just woke up.

Beats the sh!t outta me.

I just go with it.

Good luck, Wheat!

Post release dates here on IT and then it will be much harder for you to not complete them when you know everyone is expecting you to live up to your word.

Well, if you've spent all this time playing videogames while Oregon had this great weather, I'm afraid I can't help you when the rains returns on Friday. If there's anything that sends people to play vidoegames is the onslaught of non-stop rain. Sorry.

:)

Heck, I thought both of them were already done & you were just waiting on replies from the festival circuit before sharing them with us.

Back to work, then! :)

$9.95 is all you need to find anybody's mailing address these days. Just sayin. You wouldn't want any upset viewers to mail you a bag of poop. Personally, I wouldn't ever do anything like that, but there are some sick people out there. Just sayin.

Way ahead of ya, bro... way ahead.... :weird:

You have 30 days to finish them both, or I'll make sure you wind up on this show!

How's that for motivation? :bag:

Any progress?
One thing that helped me (for a little while anyway) was to make a sign I put by my bedroom door that says, "Do it NOW!" Such a procrastinator...

And that desert piece.
The one you shot while out at Conway's Campout.
Where's dat?

Hurry up, man!
Chop! Chop!

The Hot Rod is DONE!

The Long Road Out of Town will be done by June 8th. (why? because that's when it premieres at LasVegas Indiemeet ... so.. i best get workin on it!)
Thanks all
