    Zoom out of Monitor effect

That's exactly what I am trying to achieve. But I noticed that when the shot starts, you are only using a certain portion of the actual cut out. Should I start my shot by covering the actual portion of the monitor (instead of starting from the center) and then dolly out if I want to use my...

Should I file movies under a parent co. or just per movie??

A separate LLC for each movie is the standard practice in Hollywood and it's a good one. It helps you in protecting against law suits. However, if you are not that big of a filmmaker, creating a separate LLC for each movie can be cumbersome.

    Sound recordist question

Hey, So I am thinking of hiring a sound recordist pretty soon for my short film production, but I have some questions that I need to clear in my mind. This is my first production and it's a small film. There is no blood, no zombies. Just a drama about regular teenagers. So I would say the scale...

    Film studies?

I took one class of Film Studies in my college and it was amazing. Helped me a lot as a filmmaker. I think the main question is that do you want to be a filmmaker or a professor who teaches film studies? If you want to be a filmmaker, then I think one or two classes with your other courses would...

    Resurgence (Short screenplay)

I know there is not much depth to Kate's character, for I focused a lot on Mike. It started of as a love story between Mike and Kate, but during rewrites, I decided to make it about Mike. I'll add more depth to Kate's character. My problem is that it's already 25 pages long lol. It's going to...

DSLR for this type of music video?

DSLR will definitely be good for this kind of music video. Try to get Canon 5D or 7D. If it's out of your budget, then T2i would be another good option. With good lighting, you'll get excellent footage. Here is a comparison between 5D and T2i - http://vimeo.com/10021921
