Any recommendations?
thanks!
Looking to buy a on camera LCD Monitor for a HVX200A anyone have any suggestions for a really good reliable one? The price range doesn't matter too much.. I have seen some monitors range anywhere from $400 to $2000, but I am not sure on what brands are good and what monitors are reliable.
thanks!
I applied for over 125 jobs this summer... anything to get my foot in the door. But the way the economy was, no one was hiring in the NY market. Hell, I even knew someone at HBO when I applied for an office PA job, I had a great interview.. and I still didn't get it. So I started looking...
thanks for your opinion.. but that really sounded like the cliche pov towards weddings. My intentions were to give it a different look.. and break away from that cookie cutter mold that wedding videographers use. To me, wedding videos are bland, boring, and shot poorly.. I wanted that "steadycam...
I finished a rough cut to a short intro/montage for the couple. It's not bad, but I am sending the footage to my editor since she gets paid to edit, and is much better than me at it. I'd rather just shoot/direct it.
Tell me what you guys think. I can careless about the editing since its rough...
its funny you say that.. this is the exact situation I am in now. I recently graduated from film school and now am on the hunt for jobs. However, I have written a few screenplays that I am looking to turn into films. I have been pitching to studios as well as investors... problem is the economy...
anyone ever put their screenplay up on that site? A couple of people have recommended it to me so I went ahead and did it. Pretty cool that large production companies can look at your screenplay.
Well I went to Hofstra University in NY. It was a pretty good school in terms of equipment ( 4 super 16 cameras, a few HVX200's, and a shit load of bolex cameras) but the thing that impressed me about the school was the professors.
I had amazing instructors that taught me everything about film...

When I went and toured NYFA I honestly did not like the feel of it. The professors also seemed very pompus, and arrogant. NYU is considered one of the best, but tbh the kids that come out of that school really don't produce good films... they just have a lot of funding from mommy and...
thanks guys for the compliments, I really appreciate them.
air song? not sure I understand you on that one. but the final song is called "tear drop" by the group massive attack. It is actually the theme from the show "House"
Short Documentary I made for my last film as an undergraduate student. It was already accepted into next years festival at my school.

yes, because a website called "holy taco" is a credible source.. LoL
To answer your question, you really do not have to prepare for film school that much. If you know the basics you will be ahead of the curve.
I will be graduating from Hofstra University's film school in May, with my...
Yea, I thought the same thing.. but I tried to put it in other locations and it doesn't look presentable. I feel like the top of his head was the only location to do so.
nah its not for a marketing class, its for my producing class. I don't think it matters much, but I will probably invert it for fun and see how it looks.
Tell me what you guys think... I need some opinions. It's for my producing class, where we had to create and cast a film. Now we are marketing it, and had to create a poster.
The film is about a soldier returning home from war. When he gets home, he finds out that civilian life is harder than...
