I generally write on my own and then have my partner (producer, co-director, etc) come in and look at it and give suggestions, then I change it according to those suggestions if I like them.

Don't forget that a lot of times that shaky look is added in post. The production might use a tripod/dolly but shake it up in post. It works a lot better that way than doing it during production.

In a few weeks I'll be shooting a horror short (just a few minutes long). It focuses on a guy getting a phone call with an address. He goes to the address and finds an abandoned house. I won't go into detail on what happens afterwards because I don't want to spoil it. What I wanted to know...
