I hope everybody's still in on this...

Only a few days left to get your Round 2 submissions in. I've just submitted mine!

Cracker: When I read your "The Joy" I was definately picturing more of a drama/sci-fi, but then I suppose any of these ideas could've been spun to a comedy or a horror or...

I have a couple of submissions for Stage 2 but that's all! Well done to those who've submitted and 'time's running out' to those who are still waiting on it!

Seriously? How long does it take you to write a 4 or 5 or 6 page screenplay, when you don't even need to think up the idea? Let's get rollin'!

Also, please feel free to submit as many screenplay adaptations as you like; the more the merrier! :)
 
In the last two weeks I've just had all sorts of unusual things pile up.
I'm very much committed to the spirit of Stage Two, have good intentions paving the way to hell for me on at least four of the Stage One premises, but will require till the end of next week to avoid phoning in just something just to be turning in something.
I've got more respect for you guys than that.

I have no idea how you wanna handle that.
Deadlines are established for a good reason.
If Wednesday midnight is it, then that it is.

(But I SERIOUSLY wanna polute/muddy the waters and encourage other ITers to scream and stomp their furry feet to a royal rumpus to e-x-t-e-n-d the deadline to Friday or Saturday midnight! LOLOLOLOL!!!!)

I'm not participating in stage 2, because of my English. I don't feel confident enough to write a screenplay in English.
 
I'm not going to do another deadline extension; it's not fair on the people who've already submitted.

That said: if someone does have a problem with meeting the deadline, lets me know in advance and endeavours to submit their work within 1 or 2 days of the deadline then that should be fine. But please let me know in advance.

As it is the current (and already extended) deadline stands.
 
Come on y'all!

Only a few days left to get your Stage Two entries in. Some very interesting stuff coming in so far! If you've got any spare time in the next week or so, please get something down on paper (or PDF, preferably PDF actually)! :)

If you are going to be pushed to meet the deadline PLEASE, PLEASE drop me a note before September 1st and I'll give you a day or two extra!

Nick, you should extend the deadline (only this time, as an experiment, to see if It works :)) and if It doesn't work, no compromise next time.

I already extended the deadline by two weeks!

I've got a few submissions already and I expect there will be a few more over the next few days. If you're seeing this thread and are unsure whether to participate or not: participate.

a.) Finish it!
b.) Let me know that you want an extension.

Well Ernest, so am I.

But, at the moment, we don't really have enough scripts to make this a really fun competition. I know there are bags of writers out there and I know how long it takes to write a four page script, so I don't see why we can't get a lot more entries in the next couple of the days.

At the moment we have four or five, but I'd like... let's say ten.
