Worn - The Writers Place - finalist

I am honored simply to be a finalist in this contest as it is very much a writer-centric competition, not entirely predisposed for typical smash-bang Hollywood content.

TWP APRIL – OCTOBER 2010 SCREENPLAY CONTEST FINALISTS

The Writers Place (TWP) is pleased to announce the finalists of the April through October 2010 screenplay contest. To say the least, we received many finely-crafted scripts during this contest timeframe – which, in turn, made the selection extremely difficult. We anticipate the selection process for the upcoming winners and honorable mentions to be equally as demanding. That said, and in the opinion of our readers, the following scripts excelled:

TELEPLAY/SHORT SCREENPLAYS
Dean Watts – Momfia
Aaron Au – Her Story: A Modern Tale of Slavery
John Colbert – Misty Gardens
Goran Six – Brainteaser
Rishav Rastogi – The Merchant of Death
David Minaskanian – How I Met Your Mother: Open Wide
Frank Morris – The Elves and the Poomaker
Myla Lichtman-Fields – The Tomato Lady
Jeffrey Palmer – Worn
Matthew Sussex – Unemployment
Robert Ferraz – The Dealers
Roger Edwards – Karma Sutra
Santa Sierra – Raising Morales
Donna Lisa – Mischief Night
Whacked! – Steve Hochman
Valentina Reiken – Ties of Blood

Competition winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd & honorable mention) in both the full-length and teleplay/short category will undergo announcement on January 1, 2011. The Order in which finalists are listed is no indication of preference.
Congratulations and good luck to our finalists.
