What's the best magic bullet?

sarcasm is king

what is the best magic bullet?

The bullet that killed JFK, stood in mid air mind you, then turned and got the governor of Texas in the wrist too.

i think he was talking about the colour correction magic bullet. i have a feeling you all already knew that and im making a fool of myself but anyway... i would also like to know the answer to this question which version of the magic bullet software is the best? and is it a program in its own right or is it an add on for AE and FCP or whatever

Specifically, it's an environment that has really strong controls for doing pretty high end color correction, but too many folks just rely on the presets that ship with them without considering what their story really needs in terms of color correction/grading. At this point, I'm against it because it seems to breed laziness in its users... no offense.

me=lazy bring on the bullet!

For clarity..

redgiant software makes many useful tools.. Trapcode Particular among them. see http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/products/

Magic Bullet "Looks" is an awesome color correction\adjustment tool, of which Lord Nightly does not approve of being used by lazy buts like me :)

To be fair, I never use the presets without SOME tweaking. And for just exposure changes MB Looks is the fastest gun in town!

A real magic bullet is made of ice and leaves no trace but water in a corpse....

Magic Bullet Looks is a great tool to get certain (film)looks. A lot of presets, but also a lot more parameters you can use yourself. It takes some time to get to learn it all (I'm still no expert, but I knew the previous version very well.... a lot has changed). Using presets and tweaking them is my favorite way of using it.

If you use Premiere or another NLE without standard colorwheels to colorbalance, Magic Bullet Colorista is a great tool to grade your video quickly. (But mind you: no presets here!)
It also allows you to quickly add retangular or ellipse masks (with optional keyframes, feathers and inversion, but no freeform masks) to add gradients or highlight, darken, (de)saturize, change whitebalace, color, etc on only parts of the screen without leaving your NLE and even without using multiple layers.
