I can't remember what my list consisted of when I posted it, but since we're talking about older music may I mention a very special man by the name of Meat Loaf? Aww yeah <3

Devil Wears Prada, Sleeping Giant, A Plea For Purging, Underoath, Texas in July, The Advent, Becoming the Archetype. Plenty Plenty more. Mostly Christian Heavy Metal. Or how others refer to it (Screamo).

Big Wiggly Style = Musicgasm :D I love 'With Roots Above...', but I'm not really familiar with their other albums.
I also quite like that song by Underoath, I think it's called 'It's dangerous business walking out your front door'. Wait, is that Underoath?
Do you like Emery?

Uh, this is academic, but "Screamo" is Emo-Metal, Christian or otherwise. Plenty of Christian metal that isn't even close to Nu-Metal or Screamo. :D

By way of for instance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77RkUT9mFkQ (personally, don't think these guys are all that good, just the first thing that came up in a 3 second search). That's pretty much death metal with a Christian ethos.

Drew's Top Ten Bands
1. Weezer - Death to the haters who say only their old stuff is good. Its all amazing.
2. Bob Marley - All of it.
3. The Beatles - Post-drugs. White Album is my favorite album of all time.
4. Jimi Hendrix - Again, all of it.
5. Alice in Chains - REAL grunge.
6. The Pixies - Yeah. The sisters are hot.
7. Sublime - "5446, Thats My Number/Ball and Chain" is funny. "Caress Me Down" is good too.
8. Led Zeppelin - Their older stuff. "Achilles Last Stand" sucks.
9. Tommy James & The Shondells - Crappy 50's pop music gone psychedelic.
10. Jefferson Airplane - If you haven't guessed yet, I like psychedelic music.

I'll chime in. A lot of film scores:

Jerry Goldsmith, Elliot Goldenthal, Wojciech Kilar, Edward Shearmur, Miklos Rozsa, Basil Poledouris, Graeme Revell, Patrick Doyle, etc. etc.

and '70's progressive rock:

Gentle Giant, Yes, Jethro Tull, Van der Graaf Generator, Caravan, Camel, King Crimson, Genesis, ELP

and some more modern stuff:

Opeth, The New Pornographers, The Shins, Pain of Salvation, Modest Mouse, The Young Republic, This Is My Suitcase, Elliott Smith

Recently, I've been getting more into the folk, like Steeleye Span and Pentangle. And COMUS! Holy crap, First Utterance is the best album ever....

I have 800+ cd's, but I primarily spin vinyl and roll tape these days.

I've already posted that my all-time favorites are Marley and Stevie Wonder. Of more recent artists, I'm a pretty big fan of this guy:

Interesting side-note -- that's Alan Thicke's son. For those of you young'ens who don't know who that is, Mr. Thicke was America's favorite dad for a while, on the sitcom "Growing Pains". Oh, wait, no he was America's 2nd favorite dad, seeing as how Cosby was airing at the same time. Whatever. Whodathunk his son could have so much soul?
