We lucked out!

Woofta! One of the scenes in my feature required 2 of the lead characters to fly in on a private jet and hop out to meet some people. We went to the local airport and were just gonna film and CGI a plane in the distance, but we lucked out and a private jet owner showed up. I asked him if we could use it for the film, he said yes, fired it up and let us use it! Made my day :)

That is all.

Make sure that you do something really nice for him. All the usual - special thanks credit, copy of the DVD, etc. I don't know which camera you have, but maybe a take a really nice still of the jet and put it in a nice frame, offer to video tape a kids birthday party for cost... There's nothing better than having connections to wealthy folks...

That's amazing, bet you had a great day!

I'd echo Alcove and Lucky Hardwood- always helps to have connections, especially the ones that are giving you a lift to Sundance in their private jets

I KNOW!!! I was truly amazed and it put a hop in my skip for the rest of the day. The actors were excited. Found out afterwards he was the mayor for a long time. They were really nice and were asking about the movie. The wife of the guy was asking us "what is that guy with the stick holding? Is he sweeping? What's that fluffy/furry thing?" It was a cool time. I couldn't thank them enough, especially since they were getting there plane out to fly to a funeral....

Production value is exactly what I thought!!

Alcove, - we were shooting with the EX3/Nanoflash so I like your idea of getting a screen grab and sending it their way. Sweet idea indeed.

That is awesome.

Also this. ^^^^

He hooked you up, find a way to return the favor outside of the context of your film (kid's bday, jet photos, video of him piloting, free viral for his business if applicable, etc).
