The Unofficial Song of the Day Thread

solid cover, richy! though remembering listening to Tool in high school in the early 90s...definitely not a cool thing that others would be into! Different world, and I feel old!

Glad you both dug the Swans track, and following up on Chimp's Sigur Ros tip:

Oh man, I have fallen in love with this song...

"I don't believe in Beatles...I just believe in me...

I was the walrus...but now I'm John

And so dear friends, you'll just have to carry on

The dream is over"

Because mine just passed and I miss her. "Thank you, a worthwhile thing to pray"

Strange little quirky album. Some nice piano work here.

Probably the finest album from Sigur Ros.

never fails to bring a tear to my eye. If you are Irish-American in the least, this is your history.

Fantastic track Josh. Are you Irish or Irish-American yourself?

Awesome track off of the new Mogwai album:

My last name is Loughrey. So, yeah, lots of Irish in my past (Scots too, apparently the family moved to Ireland long enough to change the spelling). Decent Mogwai track too! I met the band once...was working in an office supply store, and they needed stencils to make up shirts (they ran out of merch). I hooked them up.

Using this in an unofficial spec something-or-other I'm editing. Been enjoying some interesting mashups, this past year.
