seeking Question for Filmmakers

If a screenwriter (me), made short videos, about 10 - 15 seconds, for low-budget scripts, and you liked it, would it attract you to filming the script?

I think you will need minimum, 30 seconds, maximum, the length of a trailer. 10-15 seconds isn't even teaser length, generally.

I'm assuming you mean shoot portions of the film and arrange a trailer, which has been done before to raise financing. But you want to do this to promote a screenplay. Or do you mean something else?

Promote screenplays. I'm not able to shoot anything myself. I'm thinking stock video to capture tome, or maybe photo of myself. And a VO. Short but sweet.

Nah. I mean, I could. But there's nice stock video out there. Anyway, I just wanted to know if this would appeal to a filmmaker looking for scripts. Especially shorts.

I personally think AI could be great here. You feed in your script and make a trailer to promote the script only and nothing is used in the actual film.

I think you'd have more luck inspiring people by attaching a single carefully crafted image that genuinely conveys what's unique about your concept than you would assembling a short video. Think about how a good book cover can inspire curiosity or convey a vibe. Stock footage is going to come off as generic, and honestly might make your chances worse. I've seen people try this frequently in the past, and it's universally underwhelming.

You can put a lot of time and effort into that single image, and all that effort gets across instantly when a prospective collaborator opens a web page. A video requires extra time, extra steps on the client end, for the impact to land, and a low effort video is just as likely to attach a sense of low effort to the project than it is to inspire interest in your story.

AI could likely be of help, but in my opinion, just running an image with no work would be a step backwards. Ultimately you'd need to spend the time to really convey what's unique about your creativity. I might be able to help out if you could describe in a paragraph what's interesting about your story. No promises, but you could try pitching me your vision in a single paragraph, and I could see if anything came to mind after reading it.

Or, have actors act out the scenes in the trailer to the visuals of your storyboards, and have them purposely look like storyboards, with coffee ring stains and notes, but do some good audio production so it sounds like a film.

Your example is of such low quality it distracts me, but the idea is a good one.
Once you get the quality of video much better where would you use it?

Define quality. Honestly asking. It's a digital video. No cameras involved.
That digital video you posted looks like there was no effort
put into it. A few prompts on a free text to image platform.
That's something that can be fixed with more time and effort.

Have you worked out how and where you will use a video
like this to attract a producer?

Fair. I spent very little time on it. It's only a preview. Not a final output. If, I can ever get something a bit more finished, I don't know, YouTube Channel? Maybe my website.

I'm still unsure it's worth the effort. A table read, video with me, might be a better choice. Thoughts?
