Need an Actress

I need to try to get an actress through a free ad. I've put up ads on mandy.com and nycastings. I got a free ad on Backstage, but they haven't seen fit to put it up yet.

I've sent e-mails to different NY Acting Schools in hopes of them posting.

Does anyone know any other free sites or ideas to get the word out?

I did find however that I did a search on youtube "actress reel NY" and came up with a few thousand hits". Plus, you get to see them in action.

I put out ads on mandy/nycastings/nowcasting and somewhere else, where I've been getting really weird responses.

I've done my absolute best to deter most people from auditioning for the part. Since I'm asking A LOT and offering no up front pay.

First I sent them a long e-mail explaining the fact the crew consists of 3. Then I explained the nudity. If all of this didn't scare them away, I had them read the script.

I'm happy to say I have about 20 that want to audition. Whether any of them will be any good is impossible to say. But, I give them credit for being fearless. These are women who are really pursuing the dream. No holds barred. You gotta respect that.

i'm using starnow for my next short, even though there's only like 20 people listed in my city on there i'm getting applicants from other places.

the search function is pretty good although i wish people would realise being a model and being an actor are different things.

I used them. Go with nycastings.com. I think they go all over the US.

I don't think actors come here.

NYCASTINGS and MANDY are the best, and they're free.

I just had a hard time with both, because I wasn't paying, and wanted nudity. So, they busted my chops over it. I reworded the ads, and it all fell into place.
