Need an Actress

I need to try to get an actress through a free ad. I've put up ads on mandy.com and nycastings. I got a free ad on Backstage, but they haven't seen fit to put it up yet.

I've sent e-mails to different NY Acting Schools in hopes of them posting.

Does anyone know any other free sites or ideas to get the word out?

I may have to put some bucks into BackStage Magazine. I'm looking for specialized casting for Amazon cyborgs that are a full package of talent that bigger productions seem to be scooping up everywhere.

It seems like casting in the US is much harder than it is here in the UK. I guess that's one of the benefits of having a highly centralised film industry. It may well be harder to cast outside of London.

Is there no equivalent to the Spotlight directory in the US?

on star now, for london there is nearly 9'000 people listed under actors/extras, for my city there is 20 people listed lol

and half of them are 'models' :/
