Well I just happened to talk to my neighbor and asked if he received a DVD and he had it! Man, talk about not reading who the package belongs to! He figured it was for one of his kids and put it under his tree, never even looked at the name!

I can't wait to watch it!!!! Woooohoooo!

Very nice. I looked around and saw the test shots, Was curious what you used to make muzzle flashe. Autodesk Combustion?

also, I really love the color correction. what process/software (plugin FX) did you use? You guys should make a tutorial showing us :)

Yea I have watched this short and it was very well put together. The costumes are awesome.
One of the main things I like about it is the behind the scenes/bonus material. I can never get enough education and anything I can get from fellow filmmakers, the better.

To Alex and the entire Broken team... Thanks for a very well put together DVD.

If you keep quoting old posts to bump this thread it's gonna be closed. That post was from May last year.

:) No worries, it's better if you can add some new info, or just tell us how it's going when bumping. Good luck.

I'd like to know if you can say anything about how the feature is progressing!

Working on the hopefully last draft of the script and we then will move into Pre-production. The producers are excited and we hope to be in production soon. Wish us luck! :D

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to update you on some stuff:

FESTIVAL: Film Festival UPDATE: B R O K E N is an "Official Selection" of the Palm Beach International Film Festival in West Palm Beach, FL.
Founded in 1996, The Palm Beach International Film Festival (PBIFF) was the brainchild of local business and civic leaders who felt a film festival would offer an exciting cultural venue for the community, be a tremendous fundraiser for film and TV education and would also provide an excellent opportunity to introduce filmmakers to the area's resources. The PBIFF celebrates both the history and the future of the film industry with seven days of world premieres, special events, seminars, feature, short films and documentaries.

In 2003 PBIFF became a "Competitive" Festival; joining the ranks of other great film events such as: Sundance, Cannes, Toronto and Venice. The PBIFF has enjoyed a remarkable level a success to date. While competing with over 1500 similar events, PBIFF has created a special niche within the film industry and is listed as one of the top 25 film festivals in the world. Unlike many festivals around the country, the PBIFF has dedicated itself into making a difference in the lives of young people by helping to fulfill their dreams in the world of film. Proceeds generated each year go to the Palm Beach County Schools to provide new technologies for optimal learning in the form of grants and scholarships.

The Palm Beach Film Festival will be April 20-28, 2006. For more info goto: http://www.pbifilmfest.org

BTW, I am working on another short film....heheheheeeehhhehehe.
We are in development with BROKEN the feature but I'm getting the itch to shoot something new. I'll keep you posted.

HOLY CRAP!!! "B R O K E N" was spotlighted in the mother of Indie Film Magazines "MovieMaker Magazine." They did an article on "Do it yourself Indie Film Distribution" and they contact us. They did an AMAZING piece on us and we go to explain how a little $8000 short film for Hollywood, FL has gone on and sold over 4000 units. We will be scanning the magazine soon and uploading to the site.

Thank you all for your support in helping get the word out on BROKEN and it's cast and crew! Without all the people who have purchased the DVD we would still be a little unnown short from Florida.

Thanks you all very much!!!!!

I'm going to pop it in tonight and watch it again. Great DVD, packed with extras- that's the way to sell it! Way to go, guys. Things are really happening for you- keep up this momentum! All the way.
