Are you still filming on this one? I'm just thinking, you could append a section featuring the Ukrainian refugees moving in, make that aspect the focus of your marketing on release, and utilize the international surge in interest to get your film in front of a lot more people. In terms of web searches, "films about the Ukraine invasion" will be one that picks up a lot soon. Send that out to a lot of news stations during a slow news week later this year, and you could probably get a lot of free publicity.
"Refugees fleeing Ukraine during the 2022 invasion find help from an unlikely source, a group of homeless people living in an abandoned building" it makes a decent news headline. With some luck, your film might even result in some donations to help the residents and the refugees.
It could be an inspirational story about how those who had the least were willing to share the most. I think there's some thread of universal truth to that.
Just thinking out loud.
