Mean Streets - Super 16 or 35MM?

Hi,

I was just wondering what Martian used to film Mean Streets? Was it Super 16MM? Or 35MM? Also, seen as I've bought up the subject, what type of film roll did he use?

Thanks!

When "GoodFellas" was being shot the most popular stocks
were EXR 50D Color 5245 and EXR 100T 5248. There is a
likelihood it was shot on those stocks.

Thanks torik, any ideas where I could get some info on the stock used for mean streats?

It most likely was Eastman Color 7381 which was widely used from
1971 until it was discontinued in 1982. It may have been shot on
Ektachrome 7252, a reversal stock that was used on low budget
films of the time. If Wakefield used a negative stock it was 7254
- introduced in 1968 and discontinued in 1977. This was the most
widely used stock at the time of production.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I checked wiki for some more info and it states that 7381 was super 8MM only.

I do wonder torik, why you havn't become a supreme hollywood director... I mean, you know everything about movies in full, everything I ask you seem to have an answer too. What gives?

Sorry about that. I’m extremely dsylexic. 35mm stocks are all 52
and 53, 16mm stocks are all 72 and 73 and some super 8 stocks were
72 and 73.

So Buddy is right. the chances are good that Wakefiled used 5254
to shoot Mean Streets.

I'm sure it will happen. I was very impressed with directorik's feature movie, DARK CRIMES!
