After attending the Shane Hurlbut illumination experience tour I got jazzed up to fill out my kit quite a bit. Within two days of returning home I purchased a set of 4 full size c-stands, and 1 mini c-stand. Also purchased two leko's, and 8 18x24 flags.

That's the fun stuff. Aside from that I had to get some grip heads for the stands, and then I bought some TVMP adapters for some of my lights -- need to get more for the rest of the lights.

If you're not familiar, TVMP adapters are wicked awesome. They have a hole bored into them to accept a 5/8" baby pin, but on their outer diameter, they are in fact junior pins themselves. :D

Non-grip specific things...

I'll be receiving another rokinon lens to add to my set today. Should be receiving a couple of kessler quick releases today, and a full steadicam rig (sled, arm, vest) sometime before xmas.
Other things I've acquired in the past couple months; smallhd DP7, 150Wh v-mount lithium ion batteries charger, and plate.. I think that's about it. :)

Using good equipment is essential. Several years ago three of us ponied
up the money and bought a nice, small grip kit. They use it far more
than I do but it was worth every penny.

I didnt know that about TVMP adapters.. I used them to mount my light on a baby pin.. but i dint realize the outer diameter was a junior pin! that's pretty cool.. I have a couple of junior stands... huge things with their own baby pop up (whats that called by the way)

Junior Triple Riser's?

According to the description they're just called a male receiver popup.. heh I was looking at getting a couple of those bad boys myself actually.

Need to get extension arms for my c-stands still, and more/bigger flags. Sets of scrims for my various lights, a variety of clamps, etc. So much to buy, so little money to spend... lol

thats the stands.. Got them with my big 2ks' traded my 2ti for them... got the better deal I think.

My next big light pruchase has to be for some kinos, though Im tempted to do a DIY.. what I really wanted this summer was a big 6x6 butterfly..
