Hi guys! I have been a member here for sometime, watching the forum and just looking for good information, but am finally taking the time to get more into the active life!
I have been in the creative arts for my entire life, and was raised in a creative arts family. Music lessons, stage performances, sound and lighting design... all were parts of my younger life. I am a muscian and lighting designer, and have also enjoyed the mentoring of several fantastic audio professionals for many years (Yes, Alcove, I know audio is important

Recently I have channeled my passion more into the video end of things. About a year ago (has it been that long?!) I began preproduction for my first ever short film intending to shoot it as a fun summer project. I was blessed with the talents of a fantastic script writer, and before we knew it sponsors were expressing interest, and we ended up with a budget far exceeding my expectations. We shot the film this July, and were lucky enough to use some fantastic equipment, including a RED camera. (Whooo
) Currently we are in the post production phase, hoping to make the festival circuit this upcoming year.
I am a student in the middle of a very busy Junior year of High School, so time is limited, but I love what I do. Recently I have been closely watching the DSLR trend and may be getting on board soon.
ANYHOW sorry for the long post. I feel like I already know you guys pretty well, and am looking forward to joining the community and being able to share and learn. So hi!
