FUTURE FILMS: Upcoming Releases We're Looking Forward To

Jupiter Ascending Official Teaser Trailer #1
Release Date: 25 July 2014 (USA)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tWrq0YusyM

Jupiter Jones was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning toilets and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine, a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along - her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
Looks like a mashup of 'Cinderella' and 'Riddick.'
Looks to be a semi-muddled mess similar to 'Cloud Atlas.'

Headzup: spare yourself of the 'Godzilla' teasers - they're about worthless.

300: Rise of an Empire Official Trailer #2
Release Date: 7 March 2014 (USA)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dc30UUclB74
After its victory over Leonidas' 300, the Persian Army under the command of Xerxes marches south towards the major Greek city-states. The Democratic city of Athens, first on the path of Xerxes' army, bases its strength on its fleet, led by admiral Themistocles. Themistocles is forced to an unwilling alliance with the traditional rival of Athens, oligarchic Sparta whose might lies with its superior infantry troops. But Xerxes still reigns supreme in numbers over sea and land.
Eh... Looks like a lotta been there done that.
Prolly wait for the DVD to come out.

I haven't been happy with the Synder's films recently. Sucker Punch.... Man of Steel... That Owl Movie That no one Watched....

Jupiter looks like a messy film with way too many cliches and CG shots.

Plot
Lt. Col. William "Bill" Cage (Tom Cruise) and Special Forces soldier Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt) team up to fight a hostile alien race known as Mimics, with Cage continually returning to a fatal battle through a time loop. The action of Edge of Tomorrow unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.

In the beginning of the story, Cage is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski. And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.
Sounds like a 'Source Code' + 'Battle: Los Angeles' mashup.

My big film will be THE MACHINE 2014.

I am trying to get the filmmakers of this movie on my LinkedIn science fiction movie filmmakers group to tells us their story behind making this film.

So far, they have not got back to me.

This was a great trailer. It's so good that it could have just been the slow shot pulling out from Caesar's face with the music and it still would have been awesome.

Just got back from watching The Moshi Monsters Movie (a surprisingly fun film, definitely a good one for kids), where this trailer played:

Can't believe how awesome this looks! I thought it was going to be CG, like the games. But this is way cooler! There's even a Michaelangelo figure!

Looking forward to this now.

I haven't read anything about the production but that looks like CG to me. At least the action/character. Some of the sets looked like they could have been real. But otherwise, yeah, that just looks like really awesome CG to me.

On a separate but related note, it definitely looks like a good one.

...that just looks like really awesome CG to me...

Just checked...

At the comic-con panel, they said it's part CG, part stop-motion.

It all looks stop motion to me though. They've even gone as far as to apply that "miniature effect" tilt-shift to the CG parts to make it look like real minatures. They've done an awesome job of making the CG models look real.

Same as "Wallace And Gromit"; part stop-motion, with CG designed to look like stop-motion.

Yeeeeouch!

Out almost any day, I reckon... technically the future?

Keanu Reeves’ ‘47 Ronin’ Bombing: Universal Prepares for Major Loss
http://variety.com/2013/film/news/k...g-universal-prepares-for-big-loss-1201001065/
"Universal Pictures has acknowledged that “47 Ronin” is a loser, disclosing that it’s taken the ususual step of writing down some if its $175 million cost prior to the current quarter.

The samurai tentpole, starring Keanu Reeves, opened Christmas Day in the U.S. with a soft $7 million at 2,688 locations, finishing sixth. Internationally, the film has opened in 14 territories for a total of $10 million through Wednesday

Domestically, “47 Ronin” is projected to earn under $20 million through Sunday — the worst debut for a $150 million-plus movie in 2013."
:lol: The horror. :no::yes:

Easily my favorite film of the year so far.

But I am looking forward to John Wick and Nightcrawler

and.. apparently I should be looking forward to Birdman based on the reviews, but the trailer does nothing to get me excited for it.

Sometimes it sucks having to wait til things come out on DVD, but patience is a virtue. Much more enjoyable getting to watch things at home.

When I first watched edge of tomorrow I paused it like 30 minutes in and just let the excitement wash over me for a couple minutes.
