Finished my feature

I normally write shorts but I feel really proud of myself becuase I have finished my first feature.
I know people dont want to listen to me boasting but what I'm trying to say is dont get put off doing something because its a bit of hard work. Keep trying!

Congrats, but I have bad news. It's not finished yet! The rough draft is complete. Now re-read it. You'll find yourself making changes right away. Write, rewrite, rewrite, rewrite. :)

I don't know anyone here who doesn't want to hear you boast.
We all know how hard it is to finish a feature length script. Congrats!l

Our founder is correct. The really hard work is just beginning.
Now you need to make it sellable. And that's really difficult!

Right on, brother!

Heh, I agree. I'm currently doing my fourth rewrite of my feature length screenplay. And at the end of each draft I think it's perfect until a couple of months later I look back at it and decide it needs work.

Perfection is nonexistent in the world of art.

Finishing that first draft is definitely cause for celebration. Give yourself a few days off and then come back to the thing. Read through it a couple of times without making any corrections, and then get to work on that 2nd draft.

Congratulations indeed.

its set in liverpool uk, about 5 16 year old friends who are involved in gang related stuff, and one ends up ded. Its a gang crime genre with lots of humour and crying

Good job. You made it. It's very good. Now cool it down. DO something else not related to this script for about 2 weeks. DOn'T think about.

DO sports.

Date girls.

Play video games.

GO fishing with your uncle Sam.

Date more girls.

Date boys if you like.

Get drunk in the woods with some friend disguise as zombie hot dogs.

Go to work.

Visite your lonely grand ma who try to figure out how her new remote control for the electronic door works.

Date some more girls..... or boys. Free country man.

Set what you are looking for in a good picture.

Write on paper what you set.

Now read your script. And try to solve the puzzle to make your story interesting and good for YOU.

Repeat as many time you need.

How many time you need?

A lot ;)

It takes a lot to raise my eyebrow, but wth?!

Role playing game.............. I guess.

OR

remember, when you was six years old, And you were dressing like: Pirate, batman, ghosts or soldier.

YOu were PRETENDING to be something else. I think actors dose the same thing.... But that's just a guest, I'm not sure.

So maybe BENJ09 will like to pretend, him and his friends, to be Zombies Hot dogs. WHy not. Pretending to be Batman is to pretend to be a man who pretend to be a bat. Both are weirds. But Batman is part of your culture as an american. SO it's totally normal in your mind. Witch ZOmbie Hotdogs are not..... I guess they are not.

^^^are you ready for a producer yet? I know its really exciting to finish a first draft, but its only been just over a month. I am not knocking you at all, just personally I want to be sure I have the best 120 pages possible in my hand before I even show anyone else, let alone try to get it made. Every person has their own method though. Good luck on the process. I would like to read it, if you have registered it you should upload it somewhere.

I think unless you have contacts you should write a query letter and send it to production companies or agents . You should also write the synopsis. some people are of the view that you should have five scripts at hand for contacting an agent .
some are saying you should have professional coverage . I know all that because i am going on the same road . I also cannot afford a professional coverage , because they charge more than $100 US dollars .
