Some work very well! Buffy the Vampire Slayer became a hit TV show based on a lackluster movie. And The Fugitive was a smash hit movie based on a so-so TV show.
I think that's now an infinite loop:They made an Equilizer TV show with action star queen Latifah
I think that's now an infinite loop:
TV series 1985-1989
Movie movie 2014
Movie #2 movie 2018
Movie #3 movie 2023
TV #2 tv 2021 - ?
It was on TV around the same time as Wiseguy, Crime Story, and Knight Rider. Similar vibes.Cool I didn't know it started as a TV series.
I was 100% Rockford FilesThe Fall Guy (TV) was like a cross between The Dukes of Hazzard and Rockford Files. It had the truck (like the car) jumping over things and the hot chick, but the stories, characters, editing was more like RF.
For the new Rockford Files?Okay so John Hamm, Henry Cavill, or Hugh Jackman?
Meh - very few work for me
There are quite a few good TV to movie adaptations:
If āLife Of Brianā counts ā that's my favorite.
If āThe Muppet Movieā counts ā that's a close second.
And I like āPennies From Heavenā a lot.
Does āFire Walk With Meā count?
I have a soft spot forāCharlie's Angelesā. I never watched the TV series so that
might skew my view.
Certainly Star Trek and TNG.
With a major caveat; āMission: Impossibleā. I hate, hate, hate what Koepp and
Towne did with Jim Phelps.
My favorite TV to movie might be āThe Addams Familyā.
