Clarification. Post or not?

I could be a rambling man, but I daren't lend bordum a hand with a post to rival the-never-ending-scroll...

We are planning to travel a similar path. The "Flashes" you see. Post, or not?

I'm not at all sure. Instinct tells me Post. Correct?

Very easily done in After Effects, by changing Levels & Fast Blur.

There's a video tutorial at Creative Cow for it, btw.

They are originating from the top of the cameras, and interacting with the foreground and lighting the people from the correct angles too. I would mix it, use a real flash then accentuate the places (people in this case) with post.

We've just been having this very conversation. Ant is shooting some tests later tonight, so hopefully we find a happy medium which delivers the best results. We've got the Sound Design covered, so it could mean a helping hand from "The ear tricks the eye".

Fantastic opening, need HDR time lapse cloud footage though, sounds like you've got the flashes in check at this point.
