RESOLVED. Exported in H264 instead. I already submitted the flicker copy to a film festival; hope it doesn't hurt my chances of getting in (it was a WAB extended deadline anyway though, so from what I've heard the chances of getting in late are pretty slim anyway).

I'm getting an occasional white flicker when I export to 24p 1080p .mpeg using Premiere Elements. Any idea what causes this problem or how to fix it?

If you like Watchmen, check out V for Vendetta. Hellboy is also great, but maybe not as high up on the intellectual scale as Alan Moore's work. Still amazing, though, in my opinion.
