Very cool! The only critique is the light shining through the ears is a little much and they look like devil's horns in some shots, and from the back (shots of the back of the ears) they would not be illuminated. But grate job here. 😁

Thanks! I'm mainly just trying to help keep this thread alive until it can catch on. I think it's a good idea and I'd love to see random posts from all the unique film makers here showing little clips or whatever they're working on here and there. It has a less formal feel to it than posting into the video section, and while I'd rather post something there if it's something I really worked on for a while, It's also cool to have a place where people can show off minor stuff that they're working on from day to day.

Blue steel was the first test project once I got the "infinitization" Tech up and running for the first time. There's a whole channel of it with three albums worth of material and videos for each song.

I still haven't got the functionality finished for it to sequence the fretboard movements with the music, Which is drastically more complicated than what I'm doing here. But that day will come.

Here's a couple of my favorite Blue Steel tracks.

I started off doing a lot of classic blues stuff, but moving forward with this one I'm planning to do a lot more "experimental techno industrial future bass blues hybrid" stuff. I like mixing genres, when it works. I thought mixing a bit of ministry in with acoustic slide would be cool in that song.

I want to do a techno industrial future metal channel at some point, but I just can't figure out what I want the visuals to be. It's not worth doing if it looks like a copy or blend of what's already out there. So no fractals, no people acting hardcore in clothes from hot topic, nothing cliche, I need a fresh motif, or at least a very defined new take on techno/industrial video. Tool did a good job of that back in the day as did NIN. Prodigy, not so much.

Right now I'm leaning toward something like "What if H R Giger and Moebius got fused together in that machine from the fly and the resultant being was given an unlimited chrome budget".

post an audio sample, maybe it'll inspire visualization in someone

My first instinct is to say lean into your established strength - generating thousands of images and curating the best ones, then cycle through the images in the video.

Dippin' Chrome
Dippin' (tobacco) and dipping chrome play on words. Blues meets techno/industrial.
Feel free to use for the next song. 😁
