I know its a small thing, but does anyone know what would be a good lens hood for my new toy? I see lots of square ones, and flower ones, but not many that look like wide screen, does that matter?

Are you kidding? This thing shoots amazing quality for its price. 6-700$ and you get HD video, you can't beat Canon's vixia series. (especially on a budget)

I know, im still a bit freaked out by the camera! I lovingly made a hard case for it last night.
I had small case for some other thing, lined it with foam, carefully cut it out to fit my new baby very snugly, but not to snug.. just right.. ahhh.. thats it baby.. tell daddy ho much you like to be squeezed.. (whops, did I type that.. I was only thinking it.. )

Wheatgrinder, did the hood in question work out for you? Any vignetting?

Im actual kicking my hand guns out of my best case, and using it for camera gear, thats just plain wrong!

I was looking at some still photos I took with the camera ( I don't do it that often) and in the stills, each corner shows a small bit of the hood! Crazy..

While it's not my case, I've been having grand fun shooting in mirrors for my next project and getting the camera IN THE SHOT...
