The last two films I watched are (yes your getting a two for the price of 1 or a buy one get one free lol):
Phone Booth, I have seen this film before but its still good, i must admit its looking a little dated now because its increasingly getting harder and harder to actually see phone boxes on the street.
The plot was interesting, man cheats on his wife at the same phone box everyday so the number isn't on his phone bill (I think this must have been like 2G because i don't think they had burner phones or sim cards these days most people would just swap sims before making the calls then delete the call history before switching back to the main sim card.
Anyway the idea if he hangs up he dies, he tries to leave the phone box he dies, and if he doesn't do what he is told somebody else dies and that the marksman has him in his sights at all times, you could apply the same situation anywhere just superimpose the phone box for a self phone.
I give it a 7, because it looks out of date but the plot is still good.
The second film I watched recently was I Spit on Your Grave, this wasn't really to my tastes.
Storey goes that a female novelist goes to a remote cabin somewhere in the deep south usa, some of the locals realise she is alone, especially when her toilet breaks and whilst the repairman is trying to fix it she drops her phone in it, leaving her without any contact to the outside world. This leads to a brutle gang rape and sexual assault. She is then left for dead in a river and whilst her attackers search for her, they are unable to find her for over a month.
She then returns back picking off her attackers one by one and doing to them pretty much what they did to her.
I give this a 4 because its not my cup of tea at all, just reviewed it as part of an interview process for a job.
But it was worth sticking with. A pretty decent family/mystery/crime drama. Recommend for those interested in that sort of thing. Really good cast, too. But now that I've burned through the whole first season, I'm left having to find another show.
