What's the best NASA footage of Earth?

I've seen some stunning photos but no real amazing videos of our home.

Do you know what the best footage is?

Short but sweet this one. Will she drift into the no-reply abyss or will I get a couple of bites?

@Wheatgrinder

Is this for a production or just for your joy?

Both. Last time I checked photos from the National Association of Space Airbrushers are public domain, (with a few clauses and certain restrictions on individual plates) so that's a pretty good source to plunder. Seeing as my docco's about world issues, views of Earth suit me fine.

NASA photo legal guidelines, pretty straightforward:

I think your better off animating a still image..

I've been doing pretty well with that up til now. A bit of zooming and panning on a nice big TIFF, and the eye can't tell its a still for 3-4 seconds. If that's what experienced people do I might go with that.

Thanks for the YT link. I'll check it out and see if I can get the originals on Wikimedia Commons or Archive.org.

Stunning:

Visible Earth is a great site. I was looking for the real zoomed out pics though, of the spacewalks, space stations and shots of blue Earth. It has a 'browse by satellite' feature, cool.

Check out the videocopilot.net tutorial on animating a still picture of a volcano.. it has some techniques that you could use to make the clouds "move" in you static image..

That was going to be my next question, but I haven't got a clue bout animation. If it can be done subtly I'll give it a shot.
