whats is this MOVIE ?

Few days ago , I came across a movie link in imdb ,
its a whodunnit kind ,
made in 1950s or 60s
before I could save the link to look for download, my system got crashed and had to reinstall OS and lost all history.
I found this movie while searching for a lot of movies, with tags whodunnit , investigation ,murder mystery..so i lost track of the mother link itself.
the only thing i remember is the plot summary which goes like this.

" a party happening , and suddenly lights go out , one guest (or host) is killed. Inspector...... is called for investigation, he tries to re-enact the whole scene and when he switches of the lights, another person is killed now. Who is the culprit ? "
If anyone know of or seen any movie with such plot , please guide me the name
thank u

Sounds familiar. Google for movies similar to Clue.

But my best bet is "Murder By Death" is what you were looking at.

Sounds like Agatha Chrities : Ten Little Indians which was re titled...cannot recall what the new title was (but it was re titled because of political correctness.)

Anyway it sounds like that film.

Ten Little Indians is AKA (In book form at least) And then there were none.

Isn't Murder by Death a mid to late 70's with like Columbo, and Hercule Perriot, Miss Marple and others (Maybe Charlie Chan I don't know who else is invited.) ??

-Thanks-

Nah, it's not, but it's still an excellent movie that anyone should watch if they're into whodunnits.

It's Sam Spade/Philip Marlowe I think, not Columbo (though he is played by Peter Falk), and some old British couple whose source I'm unfamiliar with. Plus, Truman fucking Capote! In the flesh!

If I were to remake the film I'd recast Capote's role with that creepy, creepy lady from Poltergeist.

Now, who has seen the original House on Haunted Hill? I saw this because it was featured in one of the Mystery Science Theaters:

Can't mess with Vincent Price.

I give up... Didn't know they made Ten Little Indians into a movie.
