cinematography Ultra slow mo camera

Hi Gang,

I am planning on shooting a shot film in Mid October. I have written an action sequence, which I am planning conceiving in ultra slow motion. I am researching on my options and figured out few options but most of the cost me a bomb even for renting (panthom costs 2500$ a day) I have also looked at Casio EXSLIM but resolution is a problem.

Could you guys please suggest me if you had any such experience from your earlier projects?

I think ultra slow mo is wrongly used here.. how slow is slow? You mean slow, like capturing a bullet in mid flight.. or slow like a matrix fight scene? Orders of magnitude different..

60 Frames slowed down to 30p is pretty slowmo looking.. here is my test made with a consumer grade HD camcorder..

if u dont have any money, twixtor can help you out a lot.
but phantoms are phantoms when it comes to real slow mo.

and as someone above said, how slow do u want it? 120fps? 1000fps?
maybe we can provide more options if u let us know.
