I don't WANNA be good!
I wanna run naked through the park holding a pencil in one hand and scissors in the other, then pee from the top of the water fountain while I laugh aloud at the stars with my mouth full of half chewed chili-cheese dog!
I wanna stay up late drinking sugary drinks, not brush my teeth, and fall asleep under a park tree wearing the day's dirty clothes.
I think I shall wake up very late, irritable as a hemorrhoid, with fetid breath violating several articles of the Geneva convention, hair so frightful Captain Spaulding would flinch, and scratch my nether regions, (only because no one else will let me scratch theirs. Believe me - I've more than asked. Wet money only goes so far!)
However...
In the sober light of day I will notice that I'm still dressed. And I will be content with that.
Oh, look!
In my shirt pocket is the butt end of my chili-cheese dog!
At least, I think it was mine.

But there is a gradual reproductive economy shift taking place as women are recognizing economic stability provides an increasingly better opportunity for their offspring to thrive.
Eventually some dumba$$ male, thinking with his pocketbook, is going to invent not only a DNA buffet screen giving rise to the whole GATTACA scenario - but - he'll also figure out a way for ex-vitro gestation.
Males will cease to have any practical purpose.
Susan and Jane are free to swap DNA.
In fact, that whole in vitro system is nothing but an insurance hassle. The male's, too.
How about the insurance consortium just stop covering risky organs and genders?

There's only so much living sh!t you can put on a dinner plate or tectonic plate.
The more of species A-M there are the fewer N-Z there will be.
The more A-E the fewer F-M.
Diversity numbers can go up and down, but the mass of all that has a limit.
The more energy and materials humans actively consume the more environment gets "converted" into a lower entropy state meaning species less capable of harvesting that energy and materials are going to go extinct.
Specialists die. Generalists thrive.
It's all energy economy.
Think of humanity in terms of achieving the best possible energy economy and it will be a beautiful thing when we squeeze the last possible calorie of energy out of our weaker competitors.
