Very neat, and an interesting direction, different than your last couple videos. Pushing yourself into doing something different is always a good thing. It'll be interesting to see how it comes out; I can't think of a lot of videos with dialogue that I've actually liked, but if anyone can pull it off, it'd be you!

And as an aside, Nick, I used to wear a hat very similar at all times. When I was younger, it was because I hated my hair. When I was older, it was because I worked retail, and had funny hair. My boss was actually cool with it, but people actually did respond better to "office supply clerk with a hat" than "office supply clerk with a blue mohawk".
 
Thanks Josh. Yeah, definitely trying to diversify the portfolio. This one focuses on a relationship, the honeymoon then the breakup. Not reinventing the wheel this round. It's got your standard boy-meets-girl tropes and turns, good times, bad times, but that particular scene in the kitchen was a pleasant surprise and I felt it would set the right tone for the video and song; a couple working shit out, on the edge...

Hope it all comes together as planned.

I think (?) this is it for the teaser. Dialog was improvised. GH2 camera w/ monopod from Cottage Studios. Three layers of audio: dialog, dishwashing, and room tone.

We missed the 2011 fall release date, but today I'm shooting what will hopefully be the last pick-up shot of the video, so if I can boogie-woogie in the editing room we might just make a winter 2012 premiere. I really need to clear this one off the dry erase board.

Thanks to brianluce and CamVader for help with the cameras. One of these days I'll get my own... when my ship comes in... or Publisher's Clearing House comes through.
