I was looking through some old discs and thought I had posted this a few years ago. Paul Woods made a cross continent (Alaska to CN or Virgina, or WV, not sure where he really ended up) trip on a lawnmower, (though he specifically said, Tractor) with his dog, Yoda, to claim a house he said was left to him by his mother. I talked to him in May of 2007, and he allowed me to take some pictures, one including my dog, Delaney.

I really don't know how this resolved. The latest information I could find was this report from 2009.

Seems Paul mentioned several different end points of his journey, CT, VA, and WV. I remember he told me he had been willed his mother's house in Virgina, and that his pregnant wife was waiting there for him. He also told me that one of the contributing factors for deciding on this mode of transportation was he had been blacklisted from all avenues of mass transit. I didn't ask him the *why* of it because I didn't really want to know. LOL

That's a legitimate Wyoming plate. But I'm sure it's out of commission and was given to him as a souvenir. I'm not exactly sure what the licensing requirements are for a riding lawnmower. I believe tractors require specific farm implement licensing. I think he was stopped on various occasions because of this issue.

It sure does take someone of adventure to do such a thing.:)
